About sLiterary
sLiterary is a new quarterly magazine publishing tasteful and carefully selected fictional stories relating to Second Life.
While most SL magazines are lacking on high-quality content, and are advertisement-oriented, we are the complete opposite:
1) As a quarterly literary magazine with over a hundred submissions in our inaugural issue, we publish only the best stories we receive. For our Summer issue, we have submissions from SL celebrities and the Lindens, as well!
2) Although we are funded, in part, by advertisements, all ads are content-sensitive, and carefully designed to meld seamlessly into the context of the story.
ADS & Funding:
sLiterary is funded by advertisements and private sponsors. Advertisements for the regular inworld edition and the web editions are handled via the http://adbook.sliterary.com system
sLiterary is also experimenting with methods of publication unique to Second Life with an eye towards further advertiser outlets. "The Labyrinth", a current project being developed in this venture, involves displaying our Spring 2007 issue in the form of a "Maze of Stories." Users can walk through the maze via MouseLook to "scroll" through the pages. Walls of the maze that aren't filled with story pages are ample ad space. Each Labyrinth also contains a Concert Hall floor above, so that live music events can be held upstairs, allowing users to mouseview-zoom and read the stories below while listening to great music. Please visit either the main Labyrinth or the Satellite Labyrinths:
